  • Coordinate with customers on design approval and delivery schedule
  • Product Designs – from plastic injection tools to medical equipment and avalanche control machines.
  • CNC programming of complex 3D surfaces. Able to Hand Edit CNC Code
  • Proficient working with PCs, both hardware and software. Microsoft Windows, MS Office suite and CorelDraw & Photo-Paint

Industrial Designer developing innovative product design in SolidWorks from concept to tooling that fully addresses customer specifications and requirements. Advanced aesthetic design makeovers to prepare products for market.

CAD Design, SolidWorks: Plastic housing for disposable surgical instrument, LED lens covers and light pipes for medical infusion pump, architectural design for the fountain at Streets at Southglenn

 

1997 – 2008, West Mountain Software, Littleton, CO

CAD Design: SolidWorks design & modeling of six avalanche machine prototypes that are in development and installed at a Colorado Ski Area. Isogrid space frame designs.

1989-1997, Recreational Composites, Santa Barbara, CA

Consulting: CAD and Tool and Machine Design. Designed cavities, generated toolpaths and taught and supervised machinists on Fadal Vertical Milling Centers. Used and taught classes on Pro-Engineer, AutoCad, AutoSurf/AutoMill. I was the first person certified by AutoDesk to teach AutoSurf/AutoMill in Southern California in 1992.

Manufacturing Environment, Electronic Components. Occupied several positions as start-up company developed growing to over 160 employees.

 Manufacturing: Controlled total manufacturing process from material selection to finished product. Supervised the design and construction of two manufacturing facilities including implementing a 9 seat AutoCad design center.

 Product Research: Analyzed critical components and decided on the best way to manufacture.

 Sales: Aerospace and Advanced Composites: Development projects with Boeing, Northrup, McDonald Douglas, Sikorsky, Lockeed, U.S. Air Force, Sandia Nat. Labs, Toyota, Microsoft
